William Jenkins, PhD

PSYCHOLOGIST

After working in leadership roles in the business world for 20+ years and helping individuals develop and attain their personal and professional goals, I became a second-career therapist to help people improve their lives in a slightly different way. I specialize in working with individuals and couples, with an emphasis on creating an empathetic space for self-exploration. Working together, we will better understand the mechanisms behind your behaviors, providing you with the insight necessary to take action and choose a new path. I believe that there are no broken people, just people with opportunities to improve, adapt or learn new tools and strategies to move forward. There are no shortcuts or quick fixes, but through work and effort, I believe every person has an opportunity to experience the reward of making changes towards a better life.

How I approach therapy: I focus on developing a trusting relationship with you, because I believe that is where real therapeutic work begins. My expertise is understanding my own and others' ways of connecting, how we attach, protect ourselves, and show up in relationship. I engage with people from before the beginning of their life to near the end, and no subject is left unattended. Whatever you are carrying, it belongs in the room.
